De Rossi played 18 seasons for the Serie A club Roma and signed with Argentinean club Boca Juniors this past July on a one-year contract. De Rossi played on the Italian national team from 2004-2017, including a World Cup championship in 2006, as well as playing for the Italian U19, U20, and U21 teams before that.
