Even HUMPDAY has some exciting picks in the NBA. Let’s take a look at my best three.

Pick Three: Game Previews and Picks for Wednesday

Detroit Pistons at Boston Celtics (-9.5) (o/u 218)

The Boston Celtics will look to continue their winning ways on Wednesday at the TD Garden when they host the struggling Detroit Pistons. As long as the Celtics are not looking ahead to a showdown between the top two teams in the East when they travel to Milwaukee, the Pistons game should be smooth sailing. The Pistons have dropped four of their last five and seven of their last ten. Andre Drummond has been a rumor of a suspected move, and was upset by his lack of playing time on Monday night, but showed his commitment shooting after the game, look for him to have a great bounce-back game to make it tough on the Celtics. Jayson Tatum has been on fire lately, and Marcus Smart coming off the bench has been a lethal combination of late. Look for the Pistons and Derrick Rose to put up a good fight, but at home, the Celtics are too good.

My Prediction: Boston 115- Pistons 103

Toronto Raptors at Oklahoma City Thunder (-2) (o/u 213.5)

The Defending Champion Toronto Raptors will roll into Chesapeake Energy Arena Wednesday night, hoping to snatch a road win from the OKC Thunder. The Raptors will be hoping to get a lift if Marc Gasol can return from his hamstring injury. The Raptors have only won six of their last eleven, and against the mighty Western Conference, they are seven and seven. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is an emerging superstar and is coming off his first triple-double. The Thunder is not flashy by any means, but their gritty team basketball is a winning formula. The inside matchup of Serge Ibaka and Steven Adams will be a warzone. Look for the Thunder under Chris Paul‘s veteran leadership to pull away late in a hotly contested back and forth game.

My Prediction: Thunder 112- Raptors 107

Orlando Magic at Los Angeles Lakers (-11) (o/u 212)

The Orlando Magic have the daunting task of trying to end the Lakers nine-game win streak Wednesday night when they visit Staples Center. They are fortunate to play the Lakers without one of their main superstars, Anthony Davis. However, in this game, it shouldn’t matter. The Lakers have shown excellent team chemistry of late smashing their last four opponents by an average of 22 points. Dwight Howard has been masterful in his role with the team averaging 14.3 points and 11.7 rebounds off of the bench. The Magic are 6-13 and 6-11 against Western Conference foes. Even though the Magic are 7-3 against the spread, look for Lebron James and crew to win in blowout fashion.

My Prediction: Lakers 118- Magic 101
