Los Angeles Chargers 2020 Season Recap
The Los Angeles Chargers finished the 2020 season 7-9 and third place in the AFC West. Despite not having a great season overall, the team has a bright future to look forward to.

The 2020 Cincinnati Bengals had a season to forget. The highly anticipated offense fell flat for a multitude of reasons and had fans screaming for multiple coaches’ heads on a platter.
The Pittsburgh Steelers’ 2020 season was an emotional rollercoaster. They surged to an 11-0 start before losing to the nameless Washington Football Team, followed by losses to the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals. They pulled off a miracle comeback win in Week 16 against the Indianapolis Colts but lost to the Cleveland Browns to conclude a 12-4 regular season.
Much like previous seasons, the 2020 season for the Minnesota Vikings could have gone several ways. However, a roster with talent at nearly every position and many young and new faces left many wondering just what the 2020 season would become.
Entering year two of the Kyler Murray and Kliff Kingsbury, the Arizona Cardinals made a splash move, trading for DeAndre Hopkins. Despite a nontraditional offseason, the Cardinals started the 2020 season 6-3 with a Hail Mary catch by Hopkins to secure the 32-30 win over the Buffalo Bills in Week 10.
Sean McVay and the 2020 Los Angeles Rams recovered from the Super Bowl hangover they’d suffered a year earlier. The Rams missed the playoffs in 2019 after losing to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LIII but returned to the postseason thanks to a 10-6 finish.
Over the next several weeks, I will be ranking the top ten NFL players at each position. These rankings will be solely based on performance in the regular season and will not include any injured players. The positions of players were determined from ESPN.com.
Hopes were high in Nashville, heading into the 2020 NFL Season. After the Tennessee Titans’ were one win away from the Super Bowl in 2019, the 2020 expectations were, at the very least, to return to the playoffs. Mike Vrabel’s team finished with a record of 11-5 and won the AFC South crown.
The New York Jets were not one of the best teams in the NFL this season with a 2-14 record. Despite this well-known stat, there was a lot of news around the Jets. Between the marathon for Trevor Lawrence, Gregg Williams’ issues, Adam Gase’s play-calling, and much more, there was plenty of excitement, albeit not the greatest.
The Cleveland Browns have been the laughing stock of the league for almost two decades. Before the 2020 season, the Browns were one of the favorites to make the postseason with the expanded playoff field. With a new coaching staff and an emphasis on the offensive line, the Browns came out firing. They made the playoffs with an 11-5 record and pulled off an upset against the Steelers in the Wild Card round as the sixth-seed. Cleveland was just a few plays away from pulling off the upset of the year against the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round but fell just short.
Entering the 2020 season, the Indianapolis Colts were a team right on the verge of the top ten in most power rankings. The Colts found their quarterback for the season when they acquired Philip Rivers in free agency. Indianapolis also sent a first-round pick to the San Francisco 49ers for DeForest Buckner. He would be one of the primary leaders on a defensive unit that was vastly improved.
Nothing came easy for the Chicago Bears during the 2020 NFL season. They won five of their first six games by a combined margin of 20 points, and a 5-1 start was overshadowed by head coach Matt Nagy benching Mitchell Trubisky for Nick Foles.
