The NFL season is two months away! For a team that is perennially underperforming with a star quarterback, it could be a winning year, even with multiple holes in the roster. Matt Patrica and Bob Quinn are both on the hot seat and expect a potential playoff push to keep their jobs. However, with the recent transition from Owner Martha Ford to her daughter, Sheila Ford Hamp, there could be change afoot if regardless of the results. The Lion’s have some top talent, where some of their players will have a significant impact on the season. That said, this is the list of players who will have a significant impact on the Detroit Lions’ season.

Last year, I had the Indianapolis Colts as my fifth-ranked team in these power rankings. Ready to battle with Andrew Luck and a young core, the team was poised to make a Super Bowl run. As we know now, that wouldn’t happen. Even with Luck’s surprising retirement, the Colts made the most of the season, seeing what they had in Jacoby Brissett and many other players. The Colts went big in free agency, getting a new starting quarterback, cornerback, and trading their first-round pick for a defensive superstar. At 25-1 odds to win the Super Bowl, I would take that bet and run with it.

These high expectations have the team looking to be a potential playoff contender if all the right players perform. For each team, there are pieces who will have a larger impact than others. That being said, this is a list of players that will make a significant difference for the Cardinals for the 2020 season.

The Seattle Seahawks are one of the most intriguing teams in the league today. Following their two Super Bowl runs in 2014 and 2015, Seattle has lost a ton of talent. Russell Wilson is one of the best quarterbacks in the league and the front office has done little to nothing to surround him with talent, especially on the offensive line. Wilson and a handful of other players is the main reason Seattle even ranks this high, and imagine what would happen if Wilson wasn’t on this team.

The Indianapolis Colts are now entering year-four of the Chris Ballard era. Ballard has built this team the correct way, all starting in the trenches. With the trade of their first-round pick to the San Fransico 49ers for DeForest Buckner, they now own a very talented group of pass rushers — something they haven’t been the best at. The team started last season off at 5-2 but ended the season with a 7-9 record — well was short of the playoffs after making it to the Divisional Round in 2018. They dealt with plenty of injuries and personnel change in a quick time but now with what should be the most complete roster they’ve had in a very long time. Let’s make some predictions about what should be a playoff-contending team.

One of the most consistent franchises in all of football, the Seattle Seahawks were once again one of the premier contenders in the NFC last season. Led by superstar quarterback Russell Wilson and head coach Pete Carroll, the Seahawks won 11 games in 2019, capturing the fifth seed in the playoffs. After falling to the San Fransico 49ers in week 17, failing to capture home field in the playoffs, the Seahawks ultimately lost to the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round at Lambeau Field. Next season, Seattle looks to be among the elite teams in the league following the additions of Greg Olsen, Mike Iupati, and Brandon Shell in free agency.

he Denver Broncos come into this offseason with a ton of hype, and deservedly so. Denver has a second-year quarterback who showed a ton of promise last year in limited action, going 4-1 in his five starts. The Broncos front office double-downed on their franchise quarterback by giving him a ton of new weapons and a new offensive lineman added to an already stellar defense, which also got upgraded. Denver comes in 13th in overall and 6th in the AFC Power Rankings.
