Though it felt like years, it’s been only about a month since the University of Oklahoma was like a sinking ship and everyone appeared to want off before it went under. Thankfully, it never happened.
We have officially hit the most exciting part of bowl season with the NY6 games set to take place shortly. Teams have already seen some players opt out but others have one more chance to show they are worthy of a draft pick.
The end of the college football season marks a significant increase in draft talk. With that, we still have the playoffs to get to and a boatload of draft-eligible prospects to discuss. Some of these guys are first-rounders looking to improve their stock.
The Western Michigan Broncos (-6.5) will meet the Nevada Wolfpack (+6.5) in the 2021 Quick Lane Bowl which kicks off at 11:00 am EST on Monday. Both teams come into the matchup after dominating their final games against Colorado State and Northern Illinois respectively.

Here we are, it is officially Heisman Day! Can we make it an official holiday? If not, I am retroactively making it one, as it is the day we celebrate the best college football player in the country. While it has historically been more of a “quarterbacks” award, there is a non-quarterback finalist for the third straight year.

But in our rankings this week, we will go through what the committee should’ve done and reflect on some of the mistakes they made on Sunday.

Before we get to the semifinal games at the end of the month, the Heisman winner will be crowned next weekend in New York City.
