The fantasy football season has begun, and its time to start making your team better. You should always be active on the waiver wire and it starts right now. Whether you are trying to improve your squad for full season dominance, or you are reeling from the losses of Doug Baldwin, Greg Olsen or Delanie Walker, Here are a ton of players that can improve your squad moving forward.
Football is BACK! The first football Sunday of the season has come and gone, while fantasy owners are happy to have football back, it comes at a cost. The most unfortunate part of fantasy football is dealing with injuries.
Fantasy Football is all about playing the matchups. Week 1 is the most unpredictable week of the fantasy season, but we know enough about the teams to make some pretty safe matchup decisions. The following are players in each position that I think you should start or sit based on their week 1 opponents. But don’t get cute. Only sit these players if you have better options, not simply different options. You should never be sitting Marshawn Lynch for Giovani Bernard.
September 5th, 2018. A day that lives in infamy amongst those that drafted Le’Veon Bell. A day where “well, this sucks” (or something with far more expletives) was the prevailing thought. And a day where Bell’s scorched-earth tactic changed the fantasy landscape. What was once a peaceful community filled with hope about the upcoming season is now a land of chaos and desperation due to the giant question mark that is Bell and his situation. And while Bell might be the only person to have a definitive answer regarding this predicament, there are still options for fantasy managers in week 1.

Each week I will base my picks on the format of a 12 team league with PPR scoring so be aware of this when taking my suggestions into consideration. You hear it all the time, “You don’t win your league at the draft.” No truer words have been spoken in the history of mankind. Ok, that’s a slight exaggeration, but I had to stress the importance. Every week throughout the season, you should be trying to improve your team. You should be constantly looking for trends to find next week’s waiver wire gems and remain one step ahead of your league mates. You should always be looking for trades to bolster your squad (hint: pick on the losing teams because you were smart and drafted depth). No matter what you think, your team is never good enough. With that being said, a lot of us make panic decisions in our drafts because the clock is winding down or your league mates are yelling at you to pick, and those picks are usually not good ones. So just because the season has not started, it does not mean you can’t start building that championship team. I did a little digging and found players with low ownership percentages that should be owned in both shallow and deeper leagues, or at the very least should be first on your watch list.
