The Holy Cross Crusaders won their second game in a row 85-74 over Lafayette thanks to a standout performance from freshman Austin Butler.

Butler scored a career-high 28 points, 21 of which came in the first half and shot an impressive 11-of-15 from the field. The freshman also sunk five of his eight three-point attempts, also adding four rebounds.

Junior forward Jehyve Floyd also had a standout game for the Crusaders as he shot a perfect 8-of-8 from the field which added up to 17 points. Karl Charles scored 12 points for the Crusaders and led the team with eight assists. Freshman Caleb Green, who played 40 minutes for the Crusaders, score nine points and also had eight assists.

The Leopards were led by one of their freshmen, Alex Petrie, who scored 29 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the field, also draining 6-of-9 three-point attempts. Senior forward Matt Klinewski scored 14 points for the Leopards along with three rebounds.
Holy Cross shot an impressive 55.9 percent from the field in the victory, and only managed seven turnovers. They have now won three out of their last four games in the Patriot League and have managed to earn consecutive wins for the first time since the opening two games of the season.
The Crusaders (7-14, 4-6) are now seventh in the Patriot League and will be in action next at home against eighth-place Lehigh (8-13, 3-7) on Jan. 29 at 7 p.m.
