Coby White has been one of the few bright spots for the Chicago Bulls this year. A rocky first ten games set the tone for most of what we’ve seen from the young guard. He is inconsistent on a consistent basis. Perhaps, that will change following White’s third straight 30-plus point performance.
There has not been much to be excited about this season if you are a Chicago Bulls fan. All-Star Weekend should have been a cause for celebration, and for the most part, it has been; it’s the first time in 35 that NBA All-Star Weekend has graced the Windy City.
Since we last met, several rookies, have risen and fallen in the rookie hierarchy, and for various reasons. With many rookies continuing to have impressive scoring performances, it’ll be the little things that separate the candidates as the season progresses.
The last edition of the Rookie Report feels ages ago. The regular season had not started yet, and everyone had a pretty good idea as to which rookie would be crowned 2019-20 NBA Rookie of the Year – Zion Williamson.
Well, things change, and quickly. Williamson is set to miss, give-or-take, the first 20 games of the New Orleans Pelicans’ schedule. Zion’s injury has cleared the way for many other hopefuls to be named the best rookie from the 2019 rookie class.
