Denny Hamlin Wraps Up Round Of 12 With Kansas Win

It took two overtime restarts to get finished, but Denny Hamlin would manage to come through with a toughly fought win edging out Chase Elliot. Hamlin would get a nice assist from teammate Kyle Busch to get him the lead he needed in the final green white. Busch, Kurt Busch, William Byron, Martin Truex Jr, Eric Jones, Clint Bowyer, Harvick, and Jimmie Johnson rounded out the top 10. Elliot manages to qualify for the round of eight after just managing to beat out Brad Keselowski by three points.

Ryan Blaney Beats Ryan Newman By A Nose In Talladega Photo Finish

Ryan Blaney would need every bit of that front bumper, in beating out fellow Ford driver Ryan Newman by 0.007 seconds in the sixth closest finish in Monster Energy history. Blaney would lead the front of the pack with a two-lap restart, and with drafting support from Aric Almirola it was enough to get him that gap he needed on the field.

Chase Elliott Survives Disaster Filled Road Course For Charlotte Win

Chase Elliot would need to beat out Hendricks teammate Alex Bowman to get his third victory of the season and second on a road course. His other road course win being at Watkins Glen back in early August. Elliot had arguably the best car most of the day, managing to just beat out Harvick for most laps led with 35 and the stage two win. Four cautions over the final 20 laps would help scratch his way back to the front of the pack, eventually getting by Harvick with less than seven laps remaining.

USA vs England Match Preview

Fittingly enough the Americans will kick off their World Cup Tournament against their most historical rival in England. However, these two countries have a rather young Rugby history, only having played one another on five separate occasions. Interesting enough the first time they played was during the inaugural World Cup back in 1987 which was also a group match that England was victorious 34-6.

Jacksonville Jaguars Season Outlook

After taking the New England Patriots to the wire, in the AFC title game two seasons ago expectations were high going into last season, however, after an encouraging 3-1 start it would all end up going completely south. Losing seven straight games, it wasn’t until December that they were able to win another one. Inevitably they would finish 5-11 and in the basement of the division.

In those final 5 games, they were kept under 20 points. Things do seem to be trending in the right direction, however. It began in January when they hired John De Filippo as offensive coordinator, and only two months later Blake Bortles was sent packing after 5 seasons in Jacksonville.
