It’s been a strange week of highs and lows for the New York Rangers. Several players ended up o the Covid-19 list at the beginning of the week, which eventually bled over into the coaching staff, falling victim to the same protocol.
After winning three in a row, it really looked like the New York Rangers were making headway with finding their game this season. But, as always, you can count on the Rangers to present an image of being consistently inconsistent.
It was good news, bad news, and sad news this past week for the New York Rangers.
This past week for the New York Rangers has had several ups and downs. More downs than ups, but a roller-coaster ride, nevertheless.
After two heartbreaking losses to the Boston Bruins, a new week gave Rangers fans a chance to see if New York could bounce back and find their game. With many talking about how bad of a job coach David Quinn is doing, they forget that some of the blame lies on the players.
After a winning week, it’s back to the same old New York Rangers. It is as though one is holding a stick, poking the team, and asking them to do something. The problem is that they do it and then it is back to the apparent normal for the season so far.
It’s been an interesting week for the New York Rangers organization. Chaos reigned over the beginning of the week with the news that Tony DeAngelo had been placed on waivers.
If you were thinking, “Hey, it’s great that Rangers hockey is back, even the pandemic couldn’t stop it!” you are not alone. However, it seems that even into the third week of games, the Rangers still think they’re trapped in the bubble of last season’s playoffs.
As the second week of hockey comes to an end, things aren’t looking too great for the New York Rangers. Their record stands at 1-3, and they currently stand at three points overall, which makes them tied for last in the Massmutual East Division with the Buffalo Sabres. Despite playing much better in this week’s games and having more shots on goal than their opponents, the Rangers came up short both times, losing by one goal to both the New Jersey Devils and the Pittsburg Penguins.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, there’s no doubt hockey is back. For New York Rangers fans, it’s almost business as usual, with a slow start and inconsistent play from the team.
After a heartbreaking loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Dallas Stars went into the draft looking for players who will make a difference. The Stars appear to be taking a gamble on highly-skilled goal-scorers, hoping it will translate into the NHL style of play.
