New York Giants 2019 Season Recap

The Giants didn’t come into the 2019 season with playoff expectations. With how the division played out the Giants were statistically still alive through a majority of the season but there was no chance that they were pushing themselves into the playoffs even with the rest of the NFC East’s shakey play this season. The 4-12 had some highlights though. Daniel Jones started a majority of the season and quieted down many of those who questioned the Giants decision in drafting him over Dwayne Haskins last year, Saquon Barkley produced another 1,000+ yard season rushing, and the Giants come out of the season with the number four pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Seahawks vs Eagles NFC Wildcard Preview

The Philadelphia Eagles did it again winning four straight games when it mattered most to get themselves into the playoffs for the third straight year, while the Seattle Seahawks rode Russell Wilson and their running backs to an 11-5 record. Carson Wentz has been banged up the last two years with multiple injuries enabling Nick Foles to start in the last two years of the playoffs, but now Wentz is healthy and has a chance to prove himself on the big stage for the first time in his career. The Seahawks had a chance to win their division and set up a matchup with the Minnesota Vikings, but failure to do so resulted in the five seed. The Seahawks and Eagles played each other once in the regular season resulting in a 17-9 victory. Rashaad Penny was the star of the game with 129 yards off of 14 carries with a touchdown.

The All-Decade team consists of a full team of skaters; four forward lines, three defensive lines, and two goaltenders. My criteria for choosing who made the team is a mixture of historical significance and statistical performance.
