Veteran striker Harry Kane left the pitch injured on Wednesday during Tottenham’s New Year’s Day game against Southampton. Kane had to leave the match in the 74th minute as the Spurs went on to lose 1-0. Jose Mourhino was worried after the match that he may be without his star striker for some time, and sadly Mourhino was right.

Italian soccer league, Serie A, for once is not just Juventus sitting at the top of the table with Napoli just barely holding on behind them enough to make things interesting. Napoli is currently out of the top six, whereas Juventus sits tied atop the table in jeopardy of winning another championship to make it nine in a row.

Alabama and Michigan will meet up for the fifth time in series history as they collide in a mouth-watering Citrus Bowl matchup. The last time these two met the Tide clobbered the Wolverines 41-14 in 2012. The last bowl meeting was the 2000 Orange Bowl in Tom Brady’s farewell game at Michigan. The maize and blue outlasted the Tide by one due to a missed extra point.

Erling Håland is one of the most sought after young talents in the game. At the age of only 19, the Norwegian striker has the potential to be really something special. Håland was being looked at by European giants like Manchester United, RB Leipzig, and Juventus, but in the end, the winner of the Erling Håland lottery goes to the Bundesliga’s Borussia Dortmund. Håland signed a deal worth 20 million euros that will keep the young striker at Dortmund for four years until 2024.

Welcome to Week 10 of our NHL Weekly Roundup! I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and the short week of hockey we had. Even with three days off for the holidays, we were blessed with numerous exciting games this past week. Let’s jump right into things, here are our three stars of the week.

Mario Mandzukic was a beloved forward at Juventus over the past four years, an asset that Juventus will miss but inevitably drove away from the club themselves. With the many top-notch additions brought to the club since the hiring of head coach Maurizio Sarri, Mandzukic had found himself in a disappointing situation left off of the first team. With this turn of events, the transfer of the Croatian forward was inevitable, the question here is where will the 33-year-old veteran be taking his talents to now?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of the greatest personalities not only in soccer but in all sports. The veteran striker has been on nine different club teams since the year 2000 and is considered one of the most electric players in the sport. At the end of the MLS season where Zlatan played for the LA Galaxy, he posted on Twitter poking at the idea he was leaving the club and Major League Soccer all together to head back overseas, the only question was where. Well now we know, Zlatan will be heading back to Italy to play for Serie A club AC Milan on a six-month contract to finish out the season with an option for a further year afterward.

Al Attles was just inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame this year for his contributions to the NBA and the community. The Hall of Fame decided to honor him more by kicking off the Al Attles Classic this year with a quadruple-header in college basketball with the games being scheduled to be played at the brand new Chase Center.
