One of the issues baseball players have begun to discuss openly over the last couple of offseasons has been free agency. Several players have expressed the frustration with the lack of compensation some players have received over the previous couple of off-seasons.

Although one of the best pitchers, when he’s on the mound, being on the mound, has been the problem. Strasburg has had a long history with injuries; 2013 and currently this season are the only two when he has been on Injured List at some point. His last 30+ start season was 2014, and he’s only pitched over 200 innings one time.

The team had set a new record for consecutive games with a home run with 31. They have three hitters selected to the All-Star Game (Gary Sanchez, DJ LeMahieu, Gleyber Torres) and five total players (Aroldis Chapman, Masahiro Tanaka).

The White Sox gave Jiménez a contract without ever stepping onto a major field. They have a lot of promise in the Dominican slugger, but the start of his career has not met expectations. Currently sitting at a -0.1 WAR his 28.4% strikeout rate is highest of any his professional seasons, and his .479 since his 2015 season in Class A.
