Finally, an injury update not dominated by quarterbacks. That only took eleven weeks. This week there are several skill players instead.
Finally, an injury update not dominated by quarterbacks. That only took eleven weeks. This week there are several skill players instead.
With Alabama up 35-7 and just over three minutes to go in the first half, Alabama starting quarterback suffered a season-ending hip injury. Tua suffered a posterior hip dislocation with an acetabular rim fracture and was flown by helicopter back to Alabama for further evaluation. A lot of comments regarding this injury have already been made, and I hope this piece will help to explain the injury and the recovery facing Tua.
I thought maybe this would be the week where quarterbacks didn’t dominate this report, but sadly that is not the case. So without further comment let’s take a look at some players with injury issues both good and bad heading into the main slate of week ten games.
Unfortunately, we begin this report like we have begun just about everyone this season. News about quarterback injuries and illnesses seem to dominate this year. Another week and at least the bad quarterback news is balanced with a little good. At least I think it is good news. Players all over the league have been dropping like the fall leaves that have started to fall. Let’s take a look at some significant injury news for week 8 of the NFL season.
Week 7 started out with a bang on Thursday night when Patrick Mahomes was knocked out with a dislocated patella. There are other injuries to check on before the main slate of games kicks off later this afternoon.
Week seven of the NFL season kicked off Thursday night with the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs mixing it up on the playing field. Unfortunately for the Chiefs, the 2019 starting quarterback curse came to visit starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes was injured in the second quarter of the game when he suffered a dislocated patella.
I have some good news, it’s not a quarterback heavy report this week. Unfortunately, it is a running back heavy one instead. And there is actually some good news on the quarterback front finally. Let’s take a look at some of the injury issues teams are facing on Sunday.
What more can be said about injuries that happened in week four except another week another quarterback injured. Let’s take a look at some of the notable injuries that will play a part in week 5 games.
The first quarter of the NFL season will be over after the Monday night game between the Steelers and Bengals. It has been a big name injury fest to this point for sure. Thursday night football saw one player from each side taken from the field and transported to the hospital for further evaluation. Let’s take a look at some of the injuries from the last week as we get ready for the action to complete the first quarter of the season.
Another week down in the NFL schedule and some more big names to add to the injury book. It has been a tough couple of weeks for quarterbacks for sure. Nick Foles in week one and now Ben Rothlisberger and Drew Brees in week two. Let’s take a little deeper into these injuries.
Week One is in the books and unfortunately, the injury page in that book got several more entries. Let’s take a look at a few of them.
