It must be weird facing your former team. It is, without a doubt, an awkward feeling when past teammates become your enemies. How would a player or coach deal with it? Does it add any more pressure? We can only guess, but we know that they will do anything to eliminate the team they used to play for.
Nowadays, it is common to see NBA personnel caught in that awkward situation of facing their former team. It should come as no surprise that we saw many of these scenarios play out during the Play-In Tournament.
What would happen if NBA relatives on different squads had to play each other in the postseason? Right now, we have at least five potential family feuds in the making.
If your idea of fun is predicting what the standings will look like when the season ends, you only have one more week left. We find out which teams will participate in the Play-In Tournament when the week ends.
Buckle up for what should be one of basketball’s most volatile periods of the year. We have the men’s NCAA tournament keeping us busy while we monitor the ever-changing landscape of the NBA standings. As if those two were not enough, big names in the women’s NCAA tournament are captivating us, too.
Some NBA plays are so iconic that we are forced to label them. “Dunk of the Year,” “Block of the Year,” and “Game-winner of the Year” are among some of the most recognizable superlatives.
Injuries aside, this week should be a good one in terms of competition. Here are some NBA games that should occupy our minds.
In the NBA this week, the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers will combine to give us at least five quality games. Additionally, there is one “race” out in the East that can be quite amusing to watch.
For many of us, the excitement of a new week in the NBA hits no greater height than seeing our teams move up a spot or two in the league standings. While the majority of us are just happy and content to see our teams make the postseason, others have set their sights on higher goals. They want their teams to be No. 1.
The rest of the NBA season promises to be filled with competitive battles all the way to the postseason. The teams who underperformed have already made their trades or replaced their coaches. Those who overperformed will have to rely on their momentum and push forward with the assets that they maintained. All these teams now believe that they have a chance to succeed.
Only four game-days are scheduled for this week, but three of those will have 10 or more contests. That’s still plenty of basketball to sort out.
