It’s time to set your All-Star Weekend hangover aside and make way for another week of basketball. Perhaps the biggest thing to watch out for is the possible sluggish re-start that everyone will be going through.
Hosting the NBA All-Star Weekend is a daunting task during any year. Cleveland, as this year’s host, will grab the headlines but fans have to remember that there are four days of NBA action to enjoy before the weekend festivities arrive.
The Super Bowl frenzy is everywhere. So, how does one fill up the six days leading up to Sunday?
Week 16 (January 31 to February 6) of the NBA will welcome a new month and the midseason break. Teams will now play with urgency, knowing that any win can go a long way in the playoff standings.

Players know that All-Star Game voting is ongoing right now which means they’ll be in “flex mode”. Expect a little more effort when they go for that extra dunk, three-pointer, or block. Let’s see some of the possible All-Star performances for the week.
The 13th week of the NBA will be all about the Golden State Warriors. They seem to have the most exciting opponents for games being played on January 10th up to the 16th.
With over 100 players entering health and safety protocols, the question of whether the pandemic is ending soon comes to mind. As long as extensive COVID tests are being conducted, the NBA business will move forward.
It’s Christmas week, and NBA fans will be counting and opening their presents soon. One of those gifts will be the much-awaited “Five-Games-on-Christmas-Day” marathon. It’s unique, because the games will all have different start times.
It’s going to be a long, slow week next week. That’s how it usually is when you’re waiting for Christmas day. Impatient fans will have some waiting to do before the much anticipated NBA Christmas games arrive.
The first quarter of the NBA season is done. Most teams have already played their 21st game and have 60 plus games to go. So if you find your favorite team in the bottom half of the standings, you can relax because there’s a lot of basketball left to play.
