MLB DFS September 3

MLB DFS September 3: Jose Abreu

It is a light three-game slate we have tonight on DraftKings for the 7 p.m. plays. Let’s attack this as it looks like we can get value at pitcher and spend up for some bats with MLB DFS for September 3.

All Prices are DraftKings

Pitcher

Taijuan Walker ($4,800) at Boston Red Sox

Yes, the Sox can hit. Although, Walker faced the Los Angeles Dodgers in his last tune-up before moving to the American League and put up 26.8 points on DraftKings. He also put up 21.3 in his debut for his new club on Saturday against the Baltimore Orioles. His opponent on the mound is Martin Perez, who got shelled last time out against the Washington Nationals. Expect some run support for Walker and likely a win.

Stack

Toronto Blue Jays

Jonathan Villar got his first two hits last night as a member of the Blue Jays. With Randal Grichuk, Villar, and Teoscar Hernandez batting 2-3-4 in that lineup against Perez, there should be some serious runs being scored. Combined they are 10-27 with a double and three HRs against the Boston lefty. It’s a nice clear night here in Boston and the ball will fly.

Hitters

Jose Abreu ($5,300) at Kansas City Royals

He is raking this year. He also has a long history of hitting Danny Duffy pretty well. Abreu is 19-59 with three doubles and two bombs against the Royals lefty. Just ride the hot hand and enjoy the benefits of being able to afford him.

Andrelton Simmons ($3,200) vs San Diego Padres

He wasn’t moved at the deadline as some speculated. Simmons has a six-game hitting streak going with three multi-hit games in his last four. He is facing Mike Clevinger who will be making his Padres debut and there may be some butterflies for the right-handed starter. Either way, Simmons is 7-14 against the former Indian with a couple of walks and a stolen base. At this price, you really can’t go wrong.
