NBA DFS Core Four 8/19/20

With the playoffs underway, we have a jam-packed day of basketball. I’m here to tell you my favorite four plays to help you make some serious money!

Let’s get to it. All prices are DraftKings.

Donovan Mitchell ($9,200) Utah Jazz @ Denver Nuggets

Coming off a career-high 57 points were going to ride the hot-handed Mitchell here. He is going to continue to dominate a Nuggets team. Mitchell is balling at a scary-good level right now. He is averaging 24.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. He’s also scored over 35 fantasy points in four of his last five games. Mitchell will continue to shred the Nuggets’ defense en route to another monster performance.

Jaylen Brown ($7,500) Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia 76ers

Brown will be tasked with a much heavier load, especially on offense. Celtics Gordon Hayward is out for the foreseeable future due to an ankle injury. Brown is coming off a beautiful performance where he dropped 29 points, six rebounds, and four assists. The offense should run through Brown today, and he’s going to light up the box score. On the year brown is averaging 20 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists. He’s my lock of the night.

Marcus Morris SR. ($4,800) Los Angeles Clippers vs Dallas Mavericks

Morris is coming off a beautiful performance against the Mavericks. He put up 19 points, six rebounds, and four steals on 32 minutes. He’s put up over 25 fantasy points in five of his last six games. Morris will get an even bigger bump, especially if KP is out. On the year he is averaging 16.7 points and five rebounds. I am expecting him to put up a huge stat line with the Mavericks paying tons of attention to Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Morris at this price point is way too cheap and am expecting a big performance for Morris today.

Josh Richardson ($5,100) Philadelphia 76ers @ Boston Celtics

J Rich is off to a nice start in this NBA playoffs opening series. He’s coming off a beautiful 18 point, six rebound performance. Good enough for 28.5 fantasy points. The main factor here is Ben Simmons is out. So J Rich should get all the run he can handle. Celtics might start Marcus Smart who is arguably the best defender in the NBA against J Rich, but with minutes in the upper 30’s coming his way, production will come. This is a very intense series and both teams will want to be at their best. J Rich will go for over 25 fantasy points today. Book it!

That does it for this edition of Core Four. Hope you enjoyed it and good luck!
