Tonight is a smaller slate featuring only three games. The value players are critical on smaller slates. You need to find the cheaper players so you can afford the studs. Here are my top four value players and my top stud on this slate.
Top Value Players
Ben McLemore (3,500 DK and 3,700 FD)
McLemore is expected to start in tonight’s game. With Eric Gordon still out and Danuel House unexpected to play because of an illness. McLemore has played well when he gets extended minutes. In four games when he has played thirty or more minutes he averages 16.7 points per game. The Hawks also give up an average of 117.7 points per game so that leaves McLemore with plenty of scoring opportunities. Keep an eye on Houses availability but if he is indeed out I like McLemore in this matchup.
Bismack Biyombo (4,500 DK and 4,800 FD)
Biyombo could easily be the best value on this slate. He has scored double-digits in his last two games to go along with nine rebounds as well. This is with Cody Zeller out. Although, even if Zeller plays Biyombo is still a good option because Zeller would likely be on a minute restriction.
Terry Rozier (6,300 DK and 6,900 FD)
Rozier is averaging 17.2 points and 4.4 assists this year. This game could be one of the highest-scoring games as well. The over/under is currently at 238.5. At this price, he has a great opportunity to save you salary and still get a player with a high ceiling.
De’Andre Hunter (4,700 DK and 5,000 FD)
Hunter has been fairly inconsistent as a rookie this year. However, as of late he has actually been pretty consistent. He has scored double-digit points in nine of his last ten games. This game should be a high scoring game so look for Hunter get in on the action and be a great value play.
Stud of the Night
James Harden (12,000 DK and 11,500 FD)
Harden is in a great spot to put up huge numbers. That is as long as this game doesn’t get out of hand early. The Hawks have lost nine games in a row. They have only held one team to less than 100 points all year. If Harden is able to get going early then he could outscore Giannis Antetokounmpo. With Giannis and Harden being the best two players on this slate the best lineup will more than likely have one of them.
Final Buzzer
These four value players and one stud will still leave you a good amount of salary. That will allow you to get some other good players. Good luck with tonight’s games. Do not forget to double-check your lineups before tip-off.
