The New England Patriots have the toughest strength of schedule in the NFL, but of those 16 games, their battle against the Chiefs in Week 4 at Arrowhead Stadium, which is one of the hardest places to play as the away team, will be the most challenging of the season.
Even if Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and other great Patriots player had not left, it would still be difficult to win on the road against the Chiefs. The Patriots have a young team this season and are rebuilding many aspects of the team.
Losing Brady means that the Patriots will most likely be led by Jarrett Stidham; he has good potential but it is unclear how he will do when the pressure is on in games such as this one.
Losing Gronkowski, even though he was already in retirement, means that Devin Asiasi and Dalton Keene will need to be great weapons for the offense to use to score.
Why the Chiefs?
The Chiefs are a scary team to play, as they have many weapons and are lead by Andy Reid. The Chiefs have a lot of talent and stars on their team with Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce. These three players are big weapons for the Chiefs to use. After all, the Chiefs had the second-highest points per game average last season at 29.9 points.
All in all, 2020 could be a tough year for the New England Patriots with a new quarterback and the loss of several weapons. Whether the Patriots thrive or not, one idea is indisputable: Week 4 against the Chiefs will contain challenging, must-watch football.
