Report: Bills Acquire Stefon Diggs from Vikings

After just missing out in the Antonio Brown sweepstakes last offseason, the Bills have acquired a game-changing No. 1 receiver in Stefon Diggs. In full, the Bills acquired Diggs and a seventh-round pick from the Vikings in exchange for a first-, fourth-, and sixth-round pick in 2020 and a fourth-rounder in 2021.

This really makes the DeAndre Hopkins trade look like a highway robbery.

The 26-year-old had a great season, and this success came as a part-time No. 2 receiver (although he did spend time as the No. 1 with Adam Thielen injured). Diggs posted six touchdowns with 1,130 receiving yards on 63 completions.

Surprisingly, Diggs has never been selected to the Pro Bowl despite his success.

Back in 2017, Diggs received the catch which to this day has been dubbed the Minneapolis Miracle against the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Divisional Round. They won that game, 29-24.

After that game, Diggs was forever a hero and it sure seemed like he loved Minneapolis, too. However, this past season, he voiced his real feelings. He constantly has shown his displeasure with playing for the Vikings and has said openly that he wanted to leave.

His displeasure was obvious as recent as earlier today:

Now, he gets his new beginning and with a young Bills team.

The Bills have secured a premier receiver to pair with quarterback Josh Allen and running back Devin Singletary. Look for them to beef up their offensive line and defense. This makes the Bills the favorites for the AFC East.
