The Green Bay Packers agreed to a deal with free agent right tackle Rick Wagner on Monday.
The #Packers have agreed to terms with free agent RT Rick Wagner, formerly of the #Lions, per me and @MikeGarafolo. This signals what has become clear, that Bryan Bulaga is gone.

The expected base value of new Packers starting RT Ricky Wagner’s deal is $11M over two years, with $3.5M fully guaranteed via a signing bonus. He can earn additional money through escalators and incentives.

Wagner, released by Detroit recently, signed a five-year, $47.5 million deal with the Lions in 2017. He started 40 games for the Lions and will carry $5.8 million in dead salary for the Lions this year, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.
Signing Wagner means Bryan Bulaga’s time with the Packers is over. Wagner is a downgrade from Bulaga. Last year, Bulaga gave up four sacks and ranked 17th in pass-blocking efficiency, which measures sacks, hits and hurries allowed per pass-protecting snap. Wagner allowed three sacks but was 42nd in pass-blocking efficiency, according to Pro Football Focus. In 2017, Wagner allowed six sacks and was penalized three times, allowed 6.5 sacks and had four penalties in 2018, and allowed 3.5 sacks with three penalties in 2019.
The Packers also signed linebacker Christian Kirksey to a two-year, $16 million deal on Monday.
