Report: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Expected to Sign Tom Brady

After 20 years in a Patriots uniform, it appears that Tom Brady will be trying out a new jersey. Just one day after announcing his departure from New England and expressing his gratitude to Patriots fans, the legendary quarterback is in agreement on a multi-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The deal is expected to pay Brady roughly $30 million per season.

This is a huge development considering Brady has played under Bill Belichick with the Patriots for his entire career.

Brady, 42, has played in nine Super Bowls, winning six of those. He has won three MVP awards and is widely considered the greatest quarterback of all time. A 14-time All-Pro who has never had a losing season, Brady is the only quarterback with 200 wins and is the oldest quarterback to win a Super Bowl (age 41).

Those are just a few of his many achievements.

With the Bucs swooping in to sign the veteran Hall of Famer, they immediately become a playoff contender and finally have a passing weapon for Mike Evans and the above-average receiving corps that also includes breakout receiver, Chris Godwin.

Tampa should look to add more to protect Brady on the offensive line but otherwise, this fit is very intriguing.

Time will tell, but this will certainly shake up the NFL picture.
