Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban Retires Kobe Bryant’s No. 24

Dallas Mavericks owner and multi-billionaire Mark Cuban has done what all Kobe Bryant fans have been clamoring and hoping for. Cuban announced that he will retire Kobe’s legendary No. 24.

Kobe was killed along with his daughter and several others in a horrible helicopter accident this morning in Los Angeles County. Many athletes have expressed their sadness and mourning. Many were speechless, in tears, or just broken.

Social media was exploding with disbelief and sorrow amidst a sad day for not just the NBA and the sports world but all of humanity as we just lost someone who was the essence of a gentleman, role model, and larger than life figure.

Rest in peace, Kobe Bryant.
