The New England Patriots defense has been historic to say the least.
Among the questions fans might have is who is the man behind the play sheet.
That has been recently revealed to be not Bill, but his son Stephen Belichick per Pro Football Talk.

Stephen, 32 was a defensive assistant for the team from 2012 to 2015 before becoming safeties coach in 2016.
With the departure of Brian Flores this past offseason, it was assumed that his father Bill would assume duties. That has not been the case.
Under Stephen’s command, the defense is only allowing 7.6 points per game, which is three points less than the 2000 Baltimore Ravens who allowed 10.3 points per game.
The defense also led the team to at one point plus-175 point differential which was the biggest margin since the Buffalo All-Americans in 1920.
Stephen and the defense will face their biggest test yet in the Ravens Sunday night.
