The Houston Texans have agreed to contracts with free agent defensive backs Tashaun Gipson and Bradley Roby, according to reports.
The terms of Gipson’s deal have not been reported, but the agreement did hit the Internet early this morning when sources informed ESPN’s Dianna Russini of the deal. The Texans officially announced the signing but did not disclose terms, either.

The Texans steal Gipson from the division-rival Jacksonville Jaguars who released just three years into a five-year, $36M million deal the two sides agreed to in 2016 that would have paid him $8 million in 2019.
Gipson, an undrafted free agent in 2012 out of Wyoming, posted decent numbers in 2018, starting all 16 games while recording an interception, seven passes defended, and 54 tackles.
Meanwhile, Roby joins Houston on a one-year deal worth $10 million, NFL Network’s James Palmer has learned.
Broncos former first round pick CB Bradley Roby is signing with the the Texans for 1 year and 10 million, per source.

This offseason marked the first time Roby explored free agency after his rookie deal expired following the 2018 campaign. In 2018, the former first-round selection out of Ohio State posted decent numbers, starting 15 games and making an interception, 12 defended passes, two forced fumbles, and 50 tackles.
After losing several defensive backs to free agency and, eventually, other teams, the Texans make two crucial signings in the defensive backfield with the additions of Gipson and Roby.
