Report: Chargers will Sign Veteran Thomas Davis

Former Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis will head west and sign with the Chargers.

35-year-old middle linebacker Thomas Davis will sign with the Los Angeles Chargers according to a source says ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Davis was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in 2005 and had been there ever since.

The linebacker has made over 1,100 total tackles in his carer. He is a three-time pro bowler, former first team all-pro member, and was named the Walter Payton Man of the year in 2014.

With the Chargers, Davis will play middle linebacker next to Melvin Ingram. He brings a veteran presence to a young Chargers defense who finished ninth in total defense in 2018.

Davis hopes to have one more chance to win his first super bowl with a Chargers team set to make a lot of noise next season.
