Report: Celtics Re-Sign 2 Players

The Boston Celtics have officially re-signed both Daniel Theis and Brad Wanamaker today, the team announced.

Theis will be entering his third season in the NBA, after playing the first seven years of his career in Germany.

Last season, Theis played in 66 games for the Celtics. He averaged 5.7 points and 3.7 rebounds over 13.8 minutes. The 27-year-old has proven his ability to be a quality player off the bench, but consistency is where Theis needs improvement.

Next up is Wanamaker, the 6-foot-4 point guard coming off his first season in the NBA. Wanamaker played seven seasons in Europe where he became an efficient scorer on the Euroleague team Fenerbahce Ulker.

Wanamaker, 29, only averaged 9.5 minutes last year. In those minutes, he put up 3.9 points and 1.6 assists.

And, with those two re-signings official, Boston’s roller coaster of an off-season is all but over.

The new-look Celtics are now locked and loaded for another run at banner No. 18.
