SEC Dominates National Signing Day

The SEC has been the top destination for college football recruits for the past decade. This year is no different.

The top four spots in the national recruiting class rankings are all occupied by SEC teams: Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, and LSU.

It’s no surprise that Nick Saban was able to compile the top recruiting class in the nation, highlighting it with top running back recruit Trey Sanders from Florida.

However, the biggest shock of the day was the emergence of Jimbo Fisher and his Aggies. Next year, A&M will feature two five-star recruits in their freshman class, along with 23 other talented, determined prospects.

Georgia also made some big moves, signing the top-ranked inside linebacker in the nation Nakobe Dean. Dean becomes the fifth top recruit in the incoming Bulldog class.

Georgia will continue to be a powerhouse program that will continue to compete with Alabama for years to come despite highly touted quarterback Justin Fields reportedly wanting to transfer.

Smaller schools, such as Arkansas and Auburn, had great days, and they both feature young recruits that definitely have futures in both college and the NFL.

Overall, it was a great day for these kids and their families, and we can rest easy tonight knowing that the future of college football is in great hands.
