The New England Patriots are still in the hunt for a defensive coordinator as Greg Schiano has reportedly turned down a job with the Patriots to stay at Ohio State.
Schiano told FS1 reporter Bruce Feldman who tweeted it within the hour.
Greg Schiano tells me he is staying at #OhioState contrary to reports from Monday that he was leaving for the Patriots. Big day for the Buckeyes. Schiano played a key part in landing top OT Nick Petit-Frere out of Tampa.

Now with McDaniels staying in New England, the Patriots are still on the hunt for a defensive coordinator and Schiano staying in Ohio could leave the door open for an in-house hire.
Linebackers coach Brian Flores has been working with the defense since 2011 where he started as a defensive assistant. Flores then coached the safeties from 2012-2015 and then took over as linebackers coach in 2016.
