With Week 4 of the 2025 NFL season complete, we have a clearer picture of which teams are likely to be successful this year.
So far, the Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills are the only two teams that remain undefeated.
However, our standout team of the week is the Kansas City Chiefs, who have demonstrated that they are not going down without a fight.
Patrick Mahomes is Back
In a lackluster start to the season, there were certainly concerns that the Chiefs might be finished after their first three games. However, quarterback Patrick Mahomes demonstrated on Sunday that Kansas City was far from done. In this crucial matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, Mahomes completed 25 of 37 passes for 270 yards and threw four touchdowns, connecting with Marquise Brown, Isiah Pacheco, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Tyquan Thornton.
The Defense Shut Down Lamar
The key to Kansas City’s success in this game was effectively shutting down the Baltimore Ravens’ offense. They limited Lamar Jackson to just 147 passing yards, with one touchdown and one interception, before he exited due to injury. Additionally, the Chiefs’ run defense successfully contained Ravens’ stellar running back Derrick Henry, allowing him only eight carries for 42 yards.
Worthy of the Pick
Xavier Worthy had an outstanding game. In his first game since Week 1, he led the team with five catches for 83 yards. Additionally, Worthy ran the ball twice for 38 yards, also leading the team in that category. His performance was a significant factor in the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory. In his young career, it’s clear that he has proven to be a valuable pick.
The Road Ahead
Currently, the Chiefs have a record of 2-2 with victories over the New York Giants and the Baltimore Ravens. Looking ahead to their schedule over the next few weeks, they face a challenging yet manageable stretch.
In Week 5, the team will travel to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars in a Monday Night Football matchup. Following that, the Detroit Lions will visit for a Sunday night game, and then the Chiefs will play a divisional game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Of these upcoming games, the matchup against the Lions poses the most difficulty for the Chiefs, while the Jaguars and Raiders are considered beatable opponents.
It’s important not to count out the Kansas City Chiefs, as they are always a formidable team.
