Week 2 was even crazier than the previous week. We had the busiest time slot at 1 p.m. on Sunday with ten games, leading to the Deca-Box on NFL RedZone hosted by Scott Hansen.

Even with a crowded schedule, one team emerged at the top. Our “Team of the Week” for Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season is the New Orleans Saints.

The New Owner of the Dallas Cowboys: Alvin Kamara

The new owner of the Dallas Cowboys is Alvin Kamara. He marched into AT&T Stadium and dominated the Cowboys, rushing 20 times for 115 yards, adding 65 receiving yards, and scoring four touchdowns against a Dallas defense that looked like the best in the league in Week 1. This is a great example of how the NFL is a week-to-week league. The New Orleans have proved two weeks in a row that their rushing game will be a threat this year.

Derek Carr is M.J.

The Saints’ offense has been a thriller to watch this season. In 2024, Derek Carr appears to be a completely rejuvenated quarterback compared to last season.

Last week, he was trash-talking Carolina Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn after scoring three touchdowns.

This week, Carr hit a Michael Jackson celebration after a quarterback sneak play, which was called by Klint Kubiak, who seems to be a key part of New Orleans’ success.

Carr completed 11 of 16 passes for 243 yards and two touchdowns against a Cowboys defense that we all thought would be one of the best defenses of the season.

Klint Kubiak Made Cowboys’ Defense Look like Gumbo

New Orleans’ offense cooked the Cowboys’ defense into Gumbo, with two players scoring rushing touchdowns and two players scoring receiving touchdowns. New Orleans marched to a final score of 44-19. In addition to demolishing Dallas, the Saints also ended the Cowboys’ 16-game home winning streak that had been intact before the Saints came marching in.

Not a Normal Practice Schedule

The Saints had to adjust their practice schedule last week due to Hurricane Francine impacting the New Orleans area. Despite the challenges, they still managed to destroy the Cowboys in Arlington, Texas.

Despite facing challenges from the weather, the New Orleans Saints went to a tough place and beat the Dallas Cowboys at their house. Now, the NFL media is questioning Dallas’ defensive coaching.

The New Orleans Saints seem to be the team to beat in the NFC South and an early-season contender to make the playoffs in the NFC.
