The second week (October 24 to 30) of the NBA season should be a really good one. Teams are now warming up to the yearly grind and perhaps the pace of the games will start to increase. Coaches and their assistants already know what to expect and adjustments will surely be made.
Can we see more scoring and more highlight plays? After all, that is what the fans want to witness.

October 24: Memphis Grizzlies vs. Brooklyn Nets
When you think of the quick ball-handlers who can slash their way to the hoop and perform those acrobatic lay-ups, you will immediately think of Kyrie Irving. Well, Irving will finally meet his match when the Brooklyn Nets travel to Memphis. Waiting for him will be the always explosive Ja Morant. When these two speedy players face each other, fans in the arena will have no time to order food since they will be too busy watching all the action taking place before their eyes.
October 25: Phoenix Suns vs. Golden State Warriors
If you play for the Suns, this is the No. 1 game you should be preparing for. Just four games into the season, this early meeting with the defending champions can be an advantage. If the Suns lose this game, they will have all season to learn, review, and make changes to the game plan. If they win, their confidence will be so high that it could be something they can carry throughout the season. They know that the only path to winning the Western Conference will go through the Warriors.
October 26: Milwaukee Bucks vs. Brooklyn Nets
All hoop fans have to do is treat this game like it is the Eastern Conference Finals. The Nets and the Bucks are bound to meet each other in the playoffs, right? Well, this is it. This is the game to watch. We could be seeing a preview of things to come when imagining what a game between these two teams would look like.
October 27: Golden State Warriors vs. Miami Heat
We could have been watching the NBA Finals featuring the Heat and the Warriors last season. The only reason that did not happen? The Heat lost to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals. If only Jimmy Butler’s late three-pointer went in back then. Eager Heat fans, wondering how their squad would fare against the Warriors, can now tune in to this game and see for themselves.
October 26 and 30: Los Angeles Lakers vs. Denver Nuggets
The Lakers and the Nuggets will play each other twice in the span of five days. It is too early to talk about the postseason, but any team winning these two games would easily gain an advantage over the other when playoff positioning comes into play at the end of the season. Look for both teams to play with heart and treat these games like a mini playoff series.
