Monday Night Football Best Bets: Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants

Monday Night Football Best Bets

After a scintillating Sunday in the National Football League, Week 3 comes to a conclusion with an intriguing matchup. After starting their season 1-1, the Dallas Cowboys roll into East Rutherford, N.J., on Monday evening to lock horns with their arch-rivals, the New York Giants (2-0). It’s time to sit back, lock in some bets, and watch the action unfold right before your very eyes.

Without further ado, let’s dive in and examine some best bets to add a bit more “pep” to your Monday night.

Best Bet No. 1: Under 39.0 Total Points (-110)

Divisional matchups across the NFL are typically close and in many cases even come down to the final possession. Although it’s only been one game, the Cowboys have shown that they can compete with Cooper Rush under center in the absence of Dak Prescott. This should at least keep the Boys in the game for the most part. The Giants, on the other hand, have won their past two games by scoring 21 and 19 points, respectively. The Cowboys will keep it close, but in the end, the G-men will prevail at home. This game has a 19-17 feel written all over. Ride it out with the under on Monday evening.

Best Bet No. 2: Tony Pollard (DAL) Over 50 Rushing Yards (+200)

With Rush at quarterback, the Cowboys will look to their running game to help supplement the offense and progress down the field. Enter, Tony Pollard. Pollard finished Week 2 with a grand total of 13 carries and just under 100 rushing yards for a solid day as Dallas took down the Cincinnati Bengals. Although he only featured in 39 percent of Dallas’s offensive snaps, he was still powerful and explosive out of the backfield, signifying a positive outlook for Pollard’s fantasy football owners and Cowboys nation as a whole. Although this prop is a bit of a longshot, I really like the +200 overall value that goes along with it. Don’t hesitate for a second. Lock this one in as soon as you can.

Best Bet No. 3: Daniel Jones (NYG) Over 18.5 Passing Completions (+100)

As a team, the Giants have started strong this season, posting a 2-0 record. However, Daniel Jones has only amassed 364 total passing yards through two games. He’s been safe, taken care of the ball when needed, and given his team a chance to win. Coming into Monday night, the former first-round pick out of Duke has a real chance to exceed 18.5 total completions. In the midst of a make-or-break campaign in New York, we’ve seen a more mature and responsible Jones who has found new wind under first-year head coach Brian Daboll. Jones’ ability to get the ball downfield, combined with a rejuvenated Saquon Barkley supplementing the running game, bodes well for Giants fans. This is an interesting prop bet, but one that I really like. Hop on this train, ladies and gentlemen.

Week 11 in the NFL brought more chaos, with at least five games on Sunday being decided by a single score. Notably, the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts won their games by just one point. As a result of their performance, the Buffalo Bills have earned the title of our NFL Team of the Week for the second time this season, having previously received this honor in Week 8.
