The Los Angeles Rams are coming off of the hangover of the Super Bowl win. While the team has a great chance to repeat, it falls on the veteran leadership on the team to real everyone in. At the same time, the front office has done an excellent job revamping the supporting cast. However, the team is in a perfect position after the team dealt out colossal money on Aaron Donald and Cooper Kupp. In addition, after getting a few ancillary pieces in free agency, the team looks better than it did last year. However, the Rams have a lot of pressure to repeat after shelling out all that money in free agency this year.

Matthew Stafford Wins MVP
Now that Stafford has won a Super Bowl, the only thing missing from his resume is an MVP. Stafford is making his Hall of Fame case stronger now that he is in the spotlight of Los Angeles. In Detroit, he was never given credit for his play. Now, in Los Angeles, everyone knows how good he is. With Kupp and Allen Robinson being the top receivers on the team, they have a good one-two punch. However, Kupp plays all over the field, so the group uses many three-receiver sets. In contrast, sophomore receiver Ben Skowronek will have to have a solid year as the third receiver. Stafford could be in the MVP race if all three receivers give good production.

Odell Beckham Jr Returns
With Beckham out until December at the latest, he could come back to the team and pick up where he left off. The last time we saw Beckham, he was on his way to dominating the Super Bowl and tearing up the playoffs. However, if Skowronek can’t become a solid third receiver for the team, having Beckham back for a playoff push could be a great pairing. However, the surgery could end up being a blessing in disguise. This new surgery repaired the tear and corrected the lousy surgery that went wrong the last time he tore his ACL. With a fully healthy Beckham back for a playoff push, he could be a huge factor in if they repeat or not.
Cam Akers has a Bounce Back Year
Akers had an insanely fast rehab from his Achilles that allowed him to return for the playoffs. However, he didn’t look the same, so he should be back more robust with an entire offseason to train and rehab. Akers is an essential piece of the offense for his ability to run or catch the ball. At the same time, Akers must be dominant for all of Sean Mcvay’s play actions to work. Furthermore, with Akers’ ability, he could have his best season.
Allen Robinson is More than just a Guy
Robinson has had monster seasons in his career. In 2015, he had his best season with 80 catches and 1,400 yards. He also had a dominant 2019 and 2020 season, where he averaged 11 plus yards a catch. With back-to-back thousand-yard seasons Robinson could be back to his old form with Stafford. However, he does need to have a rebound season for his career to get back on track. At the same time, Robinson has never had a top talent throw him the ball, and Stafford could give what his career needs.
