With four top 10 teams losing their series this week, there is plenty of shuffling around in the latest college baseball top 25 rankings. The conference tournaments begin shortly and the 2022 NCAA Baseball Tournament selection show is less than two weeks away. Games over the next two weeks will be as important as ever. Let’s dive into this week’s rankings.

Notre Dame, Texas Tech, Florida State, and Texas A&M all join the top 10 of the rankings after four previous top ten teams lost their series. Those four teams were Oregon State, Oklahoma State, Miami, and Arkansas, while the former four teams took care of business. Notre Dame jumps five spots after winning their series over Pitt, Texas Tech moves up four spots after sweeping Oklahoma State, and Florida State ousted Miami to move four spots as well. Texas A&M also jumps five spots after sweeping Mississippi State. Stanford is the new number three ranked team after increasing their winning streak to eight games following a sweep over Utah.

The Commodores took down previously fifth-ranked Arkansas two out of three games to move up four spots. It was the first time since 2011 that Vanderbilt won a series at Arkansas, and they are on track to host a regional. Left-hander Carter Holton pitched seven shutout innings on Sunday while surrendering just two hits. He has now pitched 18 straight scoreless innings.

The Bobcats have won seven games in a row after sweeping Louisiana over the weekend. It has been a historic season for Texas State, who clinched at least a share of the Sun Belt regular-season title on Sunday. A Jose Gonzalez homer in the first inning of Sunday’s win was the team’s 76th on the season. That is a single-season program record, and Gonzalez later popped a grand slam.

On top of winning their third Missouri Valley Conference series this weekend over Evansville, Dallas Baptist also took down previously fourth-ranked Oklahoma State. Nolan McLean smacked a two-run walk-off homer in the ninth inning of the mid-week contest with the Patriots down by one.
