Fantasy Football Streamers: Week 14

Fantasy Streamers

Fantasy players will have to decide whether last week’s high-scoring running back is a sign of things to come or a fluke. However, the most critical part of the waiver wire is finding the right players to stream for the upcoming matchup. Whether you need an injury replacement or your current starter has a bad matchup, it is critical to find the right player to stream. With that in mind, here are eight potential streaming options for Week 14.

The following players are own in under 50 percent of ESPN leagues. All stats are based on four-point per passing touchdown and PPR scoring.

Taysom Hill at New York Jets (35.9%)

In his first start this season, Hill threw four interceptions against the Dallas Cowboys. However, he still scored 20.7 fantasy points, thanks to his 101 rushing yards. Even without his legs, Hill still had a productive fantasy game, throwing for 264 yards and two touchdowns. While he is dealing with a finger injury, Hill expects to play this week without limitation. Unlike last week, Hill has a terrific matchup this week. The Jets have given up an average of 18.4 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season. Furthermore, they gave up 242 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and 18.8 fantasy points to Gardner Minshew in his first start of the season last week. Between the matchup this week and his rushing ability, Hill has top-five upside.

Ben Roethlisberger at Minnesota Vikings (15.8%)

While reports came out over the weekend that Roethlisberger would retire after the season, the veteran quarterback had arguably his best game of the season last week. More importantly, he has averaged 16.9 fantasy points per game since coming off the Covid-19 list, scoring 19 or more fantasy points in two of those three games. This week Roethlisberger has a fantasy-friendly matchup against the Vikings. They have allowed quarterbacks to average 18.6 fantasy points per game this season. Over the past five weeks, the Vikings have given up an average of 2.4 passing touchdowns and 21.4 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. For fantasy owners who need a bye week replacement, Big Ben is a reliable option.

Tyler Conklin vs Pittsburgh Steelers (34.2%)

Conklin has stepped for the Vikings this season. However, he has been inconsistent at times. Conklin has averaged 9.3 fantasy points per game this season. However, Conklin has averaged 12.1 fantasy points per game when he sees five or more targets. Last week he had a season-high nine targets and scored 12.6 fantasy points. Meanwhile, the Steelers have struggled to stop tight ends lately. Over their past seven games, they have allowed tight ends to average 11.6 fantasy points per game, giving up 14.5 or more fantasy points to the position in four of those contests. With Adam Thielen likely out his week with an ankle injury, Conklin will see enough targets to score 12 or more fantasy points.

David Njoku vs Baltimore Ravens (4.3%)

Despite all the money the Cleveland Browns have invested in Austin Hooper, Njoku has been their best tight end this season. Not only does Njoku lead the team in receiving yards (407) and receiving touchdowns (three), he also leads all tight ends on the roster in fantasy points per game (7.8). More importantly, when these two teams faced off two weeks ago, Njoku had more targets, receiving yards, and fantasy points than Hooper. Njoku also scored the only touchdown of the game for the Browns. These two teams face off again, and Njoku has a great matchup this week. The Ravens have allowed tight ends to average 16.3 fantasy points per game this season. In the rematch this week, expect Njoku to have another strong fantasy performance against the Ravens.

Carolina Panthers D/ST vs Atlanta Falcons (44.6%)

After getting embarrassed by the Miami Dolphins in Week 12, expect the Panthers to come out focused against their division rival. The Panthers D/ST scored 12 fantasy points against the Falcons after forcing two interceptions and recording three sacks earlier this season. More importantly, they have averaged seven fantasy points per game this season, scoring 10 or more fantasy points in half of the games. Meanwhile, the Falcons have been a fantasy gold mine for opposing D/STs this season. They have averaged 9.7 fantasy points per game this season when facing the Falcons. Furthermore, opposing D/STs have averaged 15 fantasy points per game against the Falcons over the past four games. The Panthers D/ST has top-three upside this week.

Los Angeles Chargers D/ST vs New York Giants (7.2%)

According to reports, Jake Fromm could make his first career start this week against the Chargers. With Daniel Jones and Mike Glennon potentially out this week with injuries, the former Georgia product would start for the Giants. Last week the Chargers D/ST had a season-high 19 fantasy points against the Cincinnati Bengals. They made life Hell for Joe Burrow and the Bengals, as the Chargers had six sacks and forced four turnovers. More importantly, the Giants have been a punching bag for opposing D/STs lately. Over their past three weeks, opposing D/STs have averaged 9.7 fantasy points per game against the Giants. Even if Glennon clears the concussion protocol and starts this week, the Chargers D/ST are an excellent streaming option for fantasy owners.

Greg Zuerlein at Washington Football Team (38.0%)

Last week Zuerlein made all six of his kicks and finished with 11 fantasy points. It marked the sixth time Zuerlein has scored double-digit fantasy points this season, including in two of the past three games. He has averaged 8.4 fantasy points per game this season, making 80.8 percent of his field-goal attempts. Meanwhile, Washington has allowed kickers to average 7.8 fantasy points per game this season. They have given up 11 or more fantasy points to kickers in a quarter of the games this season, including last week to Daniel Carlson. In his previous game against Washington, Zuerlein made all four of his kicks, scoring 10 fantasy points. Fantasy owners can expect a similar fantasy performance from Zuerlein this weekend.

Brian Johnson vs Dallas Cowboys (7.7%)

Washington has used multiple kickers this season because of injuries and poor play. After Joey Slye suffered a hamstring injury in Week 12, Washington signed Johnson off the Chicago Bears’ practice squad. In his first game with Washington, Johnson made his only field goal and both extra-point attempts, scoring six fantasy points. Earlier this season, Johnson spent time with the New Orleans Saints. He averaged 7.8 fantasy points per game, scoring seven or more fantasy points in three of four games with New Orleans. This week he faces a Dallas team that has allowed kickers to average 10.2 fantasy points per game over the past six weeks. Washington will struggle to score on Dallas in the red zone, leading to plenty of kicking opportunities for Johnson.
