NBA Week 7: Unmissable Games

Fans are moving on from the Thanksgiving holiday buzz and will be looking forward to some of the upcoming hoops action. Let’s take a look at games that will be played from November 29 to December 5. There will be more than 40 games in the NBA Week 7, and no one has the time to watch each and every one of them. It’s time to narrow it down and see what games deserve our attention.

November 29

The “Ball vs. Ball Battle” has to be the top story for this day. When the Charlotte Hornets travel north to face the Chicago Bulls, it will be all about Lonzo Ball versus his younger brother LaMelo. Fans will be tuning in to their social media accounts to see the reactions from the Ball family especially their dad LaVar. This game is only the first of three meetings between the Ball brothers this season but bragging rights are already at stake here.

November 30

The “Battle of the Boroughs” will always be the headline every time the New York Knicks play the Brooklyn Nets. The first meeting between these two teams will take place in Barclays Center but you already know that fans of the Knicks could easily fill up the stands and make this place feel like Madison Square Garden. Losing the first match could be a real bummer because the second meeting in this rivalry is still two-and-a-half months away. That’s a long time to wait for a revenge game.

December 2

The Bulls and the Knicks will be meeting for the third time already and based on what we saw in their first two encounters; we can expect an exciting match again. The Knicks won by a single point when DeMar DeRozan’s game-winning shot fell short in the first game and the Bulls won by six points three weeks later. That second game was close until the last few minutes when the Bulls were able to pull away.

December 3

The “Battle of L.A.” is another common headline in all news outlets. The Los Angeles Clippers versus the Los Angeles Lakers in Staples Center will grab everyone’s attention around the planet. This is one of those “circle the date in your calendar” games. There’s a big chance that a recovering Kawhi Leonard won’t be available to play but that won’t stop this from being the game of the day.

December 4

Last season, the Miami Heat were swept out of the playoffs by the Milwaukee Bucks so fans were expecting the Heat to retaliate if ever these two teams met again. That’s exactly what happened. The Heat pulverized the Bucks and won by 42 points last month. Now it’s the Bucks who want some sort of revenge and they’ll have two chances in the near future. The second and third meetings between these two squads are only four days apart.

More Stories for Next Week

If Markieff Morris gets to play, he’ll meet Nikola Jokic for the first time since the shoving incident earlier this month. We also have another reunion that involved a fight. Remember when LeBron James hit Isaiah Stewart in the face? Well, James and Stewart will be meeting each other again just seven days after their hostile encounter. You can bet security personnel in the arena will be on full alert. Fans can only hope that next week’s games will be filled with peace.
