Every week billions of dollars are wagered on the NFL. The most popular type of bet is the spread. Each week there are a few games with an appealing spread and others with an ugly spread. To help bettors figure out which spreads they should bet on and which to avoid, two of our NFL writers, Mike Fanelli and Dale Money, give their take on every spread for each of this weekend’s games.
To recap, last week, Mike finished with a 5-8 record while Dale finished 8-5. For the year, Mike is 60-65-2 while Dale is 66-59-2. Let’s take a look at their picks for Week 10.
Spreads are provided by Jazz Sportsbook. Please bet responsibly.

The Team to Bet
Mike: Tennessee Titans -2.5
Last week the Titans were seven-point underdogs to the Los Angeles Rams. However, they won the game 28-16. If not for a last-minute touchdown by the Rams, the Titans would have won by 19 points. More importantly, the Titans have defeated the Rams, Kansas City Chiefs, and Buffalo Bills by an average of 13 points per game over the past month. Meanwhile, the New Orleans Saints will be without Alvin Kamara this week because of a knee injury. He has played a critical role in their offense this season. Without Kamara, the Saints will struggle to score tomorrow. The Titans should easily cover the 2.5 point spread.
Dale: Indianapolis Colts -10
With an average of 30 points per game over the last month, the Colts continue to pile up points. Carson Wentz has thrown three touchdowns in each of the past two games, while Jonathan Taylor has been unstoppable. In last week’s game against the New York Jets, he finished with over 170 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, the Jacksonville Jaguars got an upset victory over the Bills despite scoring only nine points. Over their last two games, the Jaguars have scored a total of 16 points. That won’t get it done against the Colts and their high-powered offense. The Jaguars have no chance in this game and will lose convincingly. Expect this game to be a 14 point blowout or more.
The Team to Avoid
Mike: Dallas Cowboys -8
Despite being 10 point favorites last week, the Cowboys got blown out by the Denver Broncos, 30-16. Furthermore, the Cowboys only started to score once the game was out of hand. Meanwhile, the Atlanta Falcons have been the underdogs four times this season. They are 2-2 against the spread in those contests. More impressively, the Falcons won two of those games outright, including last week against the Saints in New Orleans. Despite being almost a touchdown underdog, the Falcons won 27-25 on a last-minute field goal. While Dallas should win this game, expect the Falcons to cover the spread.
Dale: San Francisco 49ers +4
The Rams added Odell Beckham Jr. this week, making it arguably the best receiving core in the NFL. Between Beckham, Cooper Kupp, and Robert Woods, defenses will have no way of shutting down this offense. Unfortunately for the 49ers, they don’t have the firepower to keep up with the Rams nor the defense to slow them down. While Jimmy Garoppolo has played well over the past few weeks, he can’t match Matthew Stafford throw for throw. Take the Rams minus the points.
