Last week, at Darlington Martin Truex Jr., put on a clinic. He led 248 laps out of 293 en route to a dominating victory. This week, they head to Dover, Delaware for the Drydene 400. This is a tough track and has the nickname “The Monster Mile” for a reason. Fans at the track will be able to see the huge unique Miles the Monster fiberglass mascot outside of the track. The drivers will compete for the win and the trophy of Miles. Let’s take a look at who will win the trophy along with some other race props.
Outright Winner
Kyle Larson (+450)
If it wasn’t for Truex’s dominating last week, it would have been Larson’s race to lose. He ended up coming a little short in his pursuit of Truex and finished runner-up. Larson has had some success at Dover in the past. In fact, in his most recent start at the track in 2019, he led 154 laps and won the race. He’s been one of the top drivers all year and will definitely be a contender this week. Look for Larson to pick up another win, joining Truex as the only two-time winners this season.
Race Props
Kevin Harvick Top Five Finish (+105)
Harvick has struggled this season when it comes to winning races. However, in his last three races, he has finishes of sixth, second, and fourth. He has also been successful at Dover and consistently finishes at the top of the leaderboard. In his last six races at Dover, he has finished top-five in five races, winning twice, and his only non-top five he finished sixth. To get him at positive odds is a great bet.
Head to Head Matchup Cole Custer (-115) vs. Erik Jones
Last week, I went with Jones against Aric Almirola in the head-to-head matchup and it hit. This week I go against him. Jones is solid at Dover but Custer was also very good in rookie year. He raced at Dover twice last year and in those races, he finished tenth and eleventh place finish. Custer has struggled this year but with the way he has run at Dover, look for him to get a solid finish and beat Jones
Car Number of Race Winner Under 5.5 (+225)
This bet gives you three drivers that have a very good chance to win. Brad Keselowski, Larson, and Harvick all fit in the category of car numbers under 5.5. Between those three, they have won at Dover five times in their careers. Dover is a tough track and as long as they don’t get tangled up in some wrecks, the odds are good that one of them can find victory lane.
