The Los Angeles Clippers are one of the best teams in the NBA right now sitting at third in the Western Conference, but they could look to add more talent to their roster prior to the trade deadline to boost their chances at winning the NBA Finals. The Clippers are in desperate need of a point guard so let’s take a look at 3 guards the Clippers could look to add before the deadline.

George Hill

Hill has proved to be very valuable for the Oklahoma City Thunder, when healthy, this season. The 34-year old point guard has started for the Thunder and has found success providing veteran leadership and solid play on both ends of the floor. Hill is averaging 11.8 points per game this season with good efficiency. The veteran guard will likely be on the trade block since the Thunder are undergoing a rebuild and if the Clippers can trade a couple of young players or picks for him, both sides will be walking out winners in this deal.

Terry Rozier

The Hornets could be looking to move Rozier prior to the trade deadline since rookie guard, LaMelo Ball has been excellent when thrust into the starting role. Rozier is a skilled point guard who can bring a scoring punch to the Clippers roster. Rozier is averaging 20.2 points per game this season and is shooting the three-ball 43.6% this season, both the best in his career. If the Clippers can trade for Rozier at the right price, he would be able to fill a sixth-man or starting point guard role and instantly provide a big impact on the offensive end.

Lonzo Ball

The Pelicans have been underperforming expectations so far this season and could be looking to make a move prior to the trade deadline in hopes of performing better during the second half of the season. In order to do so, the Pelicans would likely need to move Ball. He could provide the Clippers with great playmaking and good defense and would be an upgrade over the Clippers’ current guards. Ball is averaging 14.8 points and 5.2 assists per game with impressive efficiency this season. If the Clippers can land the young guard in a trade, they would significantly upgrade their point guard position.
