Monday Night Football DFS: Week 13

Monday Night Football DFS

After a wild Sunday of football, Monday night features an interesting matchup between the Buffalo Bills and the San Francisco 49ers.

A win would go a long way for the 49ers if they want to make a serious push for the playoffs. If they win, that puts them in a three-way tie for the seventh seed. That would also bring them within two games of the division even though that would be a long shot. The Bills on the other hand are currently on top of their division. However, with the Miami Dolphins winning Sunday the Bills only have a one-game lead on the division. If the Bills lose even with an 8-4 record, they would still be on the edge of the playoffs in a close AFC race. Now let’s jump right into the top players for this huge matchup.

DK Captain | FanDuel MVP

Raheem Mostert (DK Captain $14,400 | FD $14,000)
Mostert made his return to the 49ers’ backfield last week. He turned 16 carries into 43 yards and one touchdown. He is the early-down back and he will continue to get plenty of carries as long as he’s healthy. Mostert only saw 40% of snaps last week but that number should go up in the next coming games. The Bills rush defense has struggled this year. They have allowed ten touchdowns on the season and an average of 104 yards per game. The 49ers’ offense will continue to run the football to make things easier on Nick Mullens.

Utility Players

Josh Allen (DK $11,000 | FD $16,500)
Allen has done it all this season. He can score with his legs and his arm. This week will be a tough matchup but Allen has still had some big games against good defenses. The 49ers’ defense has allowed 17 passing touchdowns in 11 games this season. They only allowed one passing touchdown in the last two weeks. However, the previous two weeks before that they allowed four in each of those games. Allen is an MVP candidate and will look to continue his case in primetime.

Deebo Samuel (DK $8,800 | FD $12,000)
Samuel came back from an injury last week and had a season-high in targets, receptions, and receiving yards. He is in his second season and has proven that he’s one of the 49ers’ best playmakers. Samuel will be used a lot down the stretch as the 49ers try and make a playoff push. He was still banged up throughout the week but he practiced fully on Friday. Samuel is good to go and the 49ers should continue to get him the football.

Gabriel Davis (DK $5,800 | FD $7,500)
John Brown is out for the season and Davis will see the biggest jump in targets. In three games without Brown, Davis has played at least 95% of the snaps in every game. Last week, Davis connected on a trick play pass from Cole Beasley for a touchdown. Davis can make big plays and is a solid replacement for John Brown. Look for Allen and Davis to connect on some deep shots in this game.
