Here’s a look back at the week that was Week 9 in the NFL. 

Author’s Note: This week’s edition will be a little different in honor of Jeopardy host Alex Trebek, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 80 after his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

In Dallas, against the Cowboys fourth-string quarterback, Garrett Gilbert, this team was given all they could handle, but they were able to come back to win the game. They also survived a scary moment when their quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger, limped to the locker room right before halftime.

Who are the Pittsburgh Steelers 

This hyped rookie quarterback followed up a win against the stout Rams defense, which was more of a credit to his own defense, with a win in a shootout against the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year, Kyler Murray, and the Arizona Cardinals.

Who is Tua ‘and O’ Tagliova   

Behind their signal-caller Daniel Jones, the New York Giants got their second win of the season, with the victory over Washington, whom four of Jones’ five career victories have come against. They find themselves one step closer to first place in this dismal division.

What is the NFC  East 

With his 400-plus yard, four-touchdown, winning performance against the current MVP front runner Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks, making his case to be in contention.

Who is Josh Allen

The current team that calls this city home, the Ravens, defeated the team, the Colts, that previously called it home.

What is Baltimore 

After losing two straight games after beginning the season 5-0, and entered Week 9 in a tie atop their division, this team regained sole possession of first place in AFC South.

Who are the Tennessee Titans 

It was the final score of the game that was supposed to be a shootout between two 40-plus-year-old future Hall of Famers, Tom Brady, and Drew Brees

What is 38-3

This rookie quarterback has had his team in position to win every game that he has started, most have ended in heartbreak. On Sunday, what appeared to be a game-winning touchdown as time expired, was dropped upon further review. 

Who is Justin Herbert

This was the common theme on Sunday. Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey and New Orleans Saints receiver Michael Thomas returned from injury. Antonio Brown made his anticipated Buccaneers debut. And after almost three years out of the NFL, former Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant, once again donned an NFL jersey, with the Ravens. 

What is They’re Back 

After this week’s games, arguably the best receiver in the NFL, Green Bay Packers’ Davante Adams as well as the best running back, Minnesota Vikings Dalvin Cook play in this NFC division.
