Monday Night Football DFS: Week 4

Aaron Jones

This past week has been crazy because of positive Covid tests. However, Monday night football is still ready to go. The Atlanta Falcons fresh off another blown lead head into Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers. The Falcons come in at 0-3 and the Packers at 3-0. The game did get pushed back a little past it’s scheduled start time due to the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots game being postponed from Sunday to Monday. Without further ado let’s jump into the top players for Monday night’s showdown between the Falcons and Packers.

DraftKings Captain

Calvin Ridley (DK Captain $14,400 | FD $13,000)

Ridley is having a great season thus far. The third-year receiver out of Alabama has had a great connection with Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan. In three games this season he has four touchdowns and 349 receiving yards. Julio Jones is questionable to play but if suits up it will only help Ridley. Jones will likely draw the double team and take the pressure off Ridley. However, Ridley is also questionable with an ankle injury. Although he is trending towards being ready to go and is in another great spot this week.

FanDuel MVP

Matt Ryan (DK $10,000 | FD $14,000)

Ryan has been able to put up solid numbers all season. He is third in the league in passing yards and has thrown seven touchdowns, which was top five in the NFL heading into Week 3. Ryan has put his team in a position to win the last two weeks. However, he puts up better numbers when the Falcons are losing because they are throwing the ball more. If the Packers are able to take an early lead then Ryan will be forced to throw more. That should result in him being able to put up big numbers. Similarly to Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks when he threw for 450 yards and two touchdowns. Look for Ryan to be among the highest fantasy scorers in this game.

Utilty Players

Aaron Jones (DK $10,800 | FD $14,500)

The Packer’s weapons are very banged up. They were already very thin at wide receiver and now they will be without Allen Lazard and potentially Davante Adams. They are going to need Jones to continue his success. He has scored a touchdown in all three games this season. He’s clearly going to be involved in the running attack but he will also see some targets from quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers has thrown to Jones 18 times on the season. Look for Jones to be the focal point of the Packers offense.

Mason Crosby (DK $4,000 | FD $9,000)

With the Packers missing some weapons on offense that should cause them to have some drives stall out. The Falcons defense has struggled to stop teams all season. They are coming into this game allowing 108 total points score and 1,390 yards allowed. The Packers should be able to move the ball relatively easily. Crosby is also one of the best fantasy kickers and has scored more than double-digit points in every game this season. As long as the Falcons can keep the Packers out of the end zone a couple of times, Crosby’s success will continue this week.
