5 Trade Destinations for Antonio Brown

Antonio Brown has made it crystal clear that he wants out of Pittsburgh. The star wide receiver has taken to Twitter to inform fans he is ready to move on and find a new home. Although Brown may be ready to move on, he still has another three seasons on his contract, giving the Steelers control to trade him wherever they please. Here are the five likeliest teams to pull the trigger and trade for Antonio Brown.

San Francisco 49ers

It might be the easiest conclusion to come to given that Brown has been very public about his desire to go to San Francisco, but the 49ers are a realistic option for the star receiver. A healthy Jimmy Garoppolo is going to need weapons to throw to and imagine how much damage he could do with both Brown and his new Twitter buddy George Kittle going out wide.

New York Jets

The Jets front office desperately needs to get Sam Darnold some weapons if they hope to build a dynamic offense and Brown is the most dynamic receiver out there. The Jets could spend their first-round pick grabbing a wideout that they hope develops or they could use it to trade for the best receiver in the game.

Indianapolis Colts

In case you haven’t been paying attention to literally any offseason discussion, then let me once again inform you that the Indianapolis Colts have a lot of cap room to work with this offseason, the most in the NFL in fact. They have more than enough money to pull the trigger for Brown and it would give Andrew Luck a dangerous receiver to run alongside TY Hilton.

Houston Texans

The Texans released wide receiver Demaryius Thomas and are in desperate need of help at the position. Houston was ravaged by injuries in 2018 and wasn’t able to consistently provide Deshaun Watson with the firepower he needs. Watson is already developing into a young star, but giving him a top-tier wideout would certainly speed the process up.

Oakland Raiders

Jon Gruden and the Raiders need to do SOMETHING. They don’t know where they’re playing in 2018, they’re coming off a terrible 4-12 season, and they lack talent at almost every position. Their fans need something to be excited about, so why not add a star player at a position of need. The Raiders certainly have the draft picks to make a deal and have the cap room to take on Brown’s contract.
