The Columbus Destroyers will host the Baltimore Brigade this Saturday afternoon at the Nationwide Arena in Colombus, OH. Baltimore is coming off a big upset win over the Albany Empire, Albany’s first loss this season. Columbus is coming off their first win in 11 years over the Atlantic City Blackjacks.
While those are two reasons this game will be one to watch this weekend, there are two other reasons this game will go down in Arena Football League history – Donovan Morgan is playing his first game and Joe Hills is going for his 100th consecutive game with a touchdown reception.
Morgan has not played this season after coming out of a two-year retirement. He last played in 2016 with the Los Angeles KISS. His last game was a loss to another Ohio team, the Cleveland Gladiators, in a playoff game.
Hills has caught a touchdown pass in 99 consecutive games. That is a record of which he broke his old record. No one has more consecutive games with a touchdown than Hills. If he gets a touchdown Saturday, it will be the 100th consecutive game. No one will ever forget that moment if it happens.
