The Arizona Cardinals had a quiet offseason, at least until the NFL Draft, when they made a trade for Marquise Brown. Landing a player like him and bringing him to Kyler Murray creates a match made in heaven. The speed of both players will allow them to operate smoothly over the next few years. Outside of that, the Cardinals re-signed Zach Ertz, James Conner, and Maxx Williams, signed Will Hernandez, and made a flurry of other small moves. Here are some bold predictions for them entering the 2022 season.

Kyler Murray wins the MVP Award
Starting bold, Murray will win the NFL MVP award in the 2022 season. He has had plenty of seasons where he looks the part for the first half of the season, then folds. This season will be different because he’s matured and will do everything to have the league take notice. Earlier this offseason, there were rumors about a trade or him wanting out. By Murray winning the MVP in 2022, those rumors will die down, and he will be the talk of the NFL.
Budda Baker Leads the NFL in Tackles
Baker has always been known as a physical guy on the football field. He comes down hard from his safety position and lights up any player in sight. This season for him will be different as he will lead the NFL in tackles. More often than not, a linebacker has the most opportunities to do this. However, this season, the safety takes over and makes an insane amount of tackles. Look for Baker to put the safety position on the map completely this year.
James Conner has Under Five Touchdowns
Conner has been good for the Cardinals and, at one point last season, looked like he could carry the load as their number one running back. However, Conner is better off complimented by someone else. Having a limited dosage at the position is what makes him great. Conner will have his chances to score this season, but the passing attack for the Cardinals will be what carries them the most in 2022.
The Cardinals Earn a Wild Card Spot
The Rams will look to win the division this upcoming season and will do so. Murray and company will battle it out until the end, but it won’t be enough to come out on top of the division. The Cardinals will earn a wild card spot in the playoffs this season and truly make some noise. They have what it takes to win it all; but Arizona has not put it all together. This will be the season will the NFL realizes the Cardinals are a couple of moves away from being Super Bowl contenders.
