It’s the offseason and that means the NFL world is moving slowly. Actually, who am I kidding. Free agency is almost here and where players sign will have ripple impact throughout the league. Not only for Super Bowl odds next year but also for dynasty fantasy owners. Each signing changes the views for not only that player but the rest of the team he’s leaving and joining, as well as potential landing spots for rookies.
The off-season for the Mets was a loss. Most notable was that Steve Cohen’s potential
purchase of the Mets fell through. Had he purchased the Mets, it could have changed the entire long term trajectory of the franchise. If the transaction went through, the Mets would have had the richest owner in the entire league.
The Titans created $19 million in cap space by releasing four players this week.

This week, a multitude of high-profile sporting events were postponed or canceled due to the coronavirus. Events like March Madness and the Big Ten and SEC basketball championship brackets have been canceled and a couple of NBA players have tested positive for the virus since the league’s announcement of the league being suspended. The NFL is in its offseason but is now approaching the time where the teams address their needs by flying in players from all over the country for visits with free agents and draft-eligible players. I’ll take a look at how the virus has affected the league already as well as events in the near future it could affect.
The Boston Bruins’ season is in jeopardy after the NHL’s suspension could bring an abrupt end to their successful season. So what’s next?
