DraftKings Around the Horn July 26th, 2019

Plenty of games with run totals hovering around ten and eleven Friday. Ideally some exposure to Yankees and Red Sox bats is a good strategy to take but the high prices make it difficult to fit them in. The Cardinals and Twins, amongst others, offer up some interesting pivot plays to make room for pitching. Where Will Stroman Land?

Marcus Stroman pitched in what was most likely his final game in a Toronto Blue Jays jersey on Wednesday, and his trade stock rose even farther. In his final start for the Blue Jays against the Cleveland Indians, Stroman was very effective, going seven strong innings and only surrendering five hits, one run (earned), and walking one. His offense didn’t do him any favors, as the Blue Jays lost 4-0. Following the game and into Thursday, he tweeted and retweeted several tweets about his appreciation to the Toronto fans. About a week or so ago, he also took out any reference to the Blue Jays from his Twitter page. Take it with a grain of salt, but he also tweeted something that could be a clue to where he ends up, or maybe he even knows something. So at this point, the question isn’t IF he’s traded but WHERE. So let me tell you where I think he ends up.

Fantasy Battle: Giovani Bernard vs Duke Johnson

In an intriguing matchup for this fantasy battle, I’m going to look deep into some later round picks to help close out those bench spots with some value when needed. Currently, in 12 Team PPR leagues, both Giovani Bernard and Duke Johnson are going in the 14th round, Bernard as the RB62 and Johnson as the RB64 per Fantasy Football Calculator.

The 2019 NBA Summer League has ended, and the Rookie Report has returned!

Today I’ll be taking a look at some of the top rookies from this years’ Summer League. While the competition in Summer League isn’t close to what the NBA game has to offer, these games do still serve a purpose (even if it’s just to feed into the fans’ basketball addictions).
