San Francisco is pulling out all the stops to see that the Oakland Raiders will not be playing in their town during 2019.
One proposed move that was mentioned earlier in the year is that the Raiders could play their home games in London, a move that would send waves throughout the league.
If the NFL is trying to see if the market could be used for a whole season, this may be the perfect opportunity to pull the trigger and make the move.
While the Raiders new stadium in Las Vegas will be ready in 2020, the team has entered a rebuild mode, with three first-round picks in 2019 to build for the future.
The league is playing at least one game a year in London, and the Raiders are already scheduled for one game across the pond; why not just make it eight?
Although there would be some logistics they would have to work out for teams visiting, the Raiders in London regularly has a chance to happen.
A team like the Raiders with a big-name coach with a team that will most likely be in year two of a rebuild; it’s something the NFL should look at.
Raiders are now in scramble-mode trying to find a place to play and the NFL will need to help find a solution because a team that is looking to rebuild needs some answers.
